Comvita was founded in 1974 by Claude Stratford, with a mission to "produce natural products that improve the community's health". Claude’s values are still the foundation of the way we do business at Comvita today and consequently the company is opposed to the genetic modification of food.

Comvita is fortunate to be based in clean, green New Zealand where no commercial crops of genetically modified plants are grown. Comvita uses New Zealand ingredients in our products where possible, otherwise we source the highest quality ingredients from around the world.

Comvita’s specialist teams continue to work with suppliers to ensure we are developing the highest quality, natural products so that our consumers can be confident they are buying products that enhance their wellbeing as well as compliment their values.
